The IIT School of Architecture's visual identity is featured in AIGA's 'Eye on Design'

The School of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Chicago, under the deanship of Wiel Arets, began in 2012 to introduce a new visual identity to the school’s print and digital media, as well as its way finding systems within S.R. Crown Hall. Designed by Mainstudio (Edwin van Gelder) of Amsterdam, the identity–which has evolved since its introduction, as well as received with increasing acclaim–was recently featured in the AIGA publication Eye on Design; ‘…Van Gelder went to Chicago to speak with [Arets] and draw from the structure of the canonical building by Mies van der Rohe that houses the university; he used its shape and Arets’ theories to inform the editorial layout.’
