G' House

This house is an exclusive renovation and extension of an existing villa sited in a leafy neighborhood of similar sized residences. The original portion of the dwelling is immediately recognizable within the new building volume as a double height space among the clustered one-story additions. Approaching the entrance of the villa, the private character of the white façade gives way to a telescopic view, through the entrance area toward the extensive luscious garden. The completely transparent façade alongside the rear of the house links the living, kitchen, and fitness area of the longitudinal axe on the ground floor, while sleeping areas on the lower floor are afforded private access to the garden. The boundary between indoor and outdoor is subdued by the use of black basalt on the ground floor, which continues from the entrance walkway to the indoor areas, and onward to the terrace, with its integrated swimming pool and lounge.
