The College of Architecture at IIT to host the 'MCHAP Award Benefit Dinner'

On May 20th, 2014 the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology will host a benefit dinner for the 'MCHAP for Emerging Architecture'–one component of the new MCHAP award recently established by the college. The benefit will begin with remarks from the Mayor of Chicago–Rahm Emanuel–followed by the presentation of the award finalists, the dinner, and concluding with the announcement of the inaugural winner. Recognizing an 'outstanding built work in the Americas', as created by 'a member of the profession's younger generations', the 'MCHAP for Emerging Architecture' will again be conferred in 2016. The winner of the 'MCHAP'–the primary component of the MCHAP award–will be announced during a ceremony at the College of Architecture in July 2014.
